We aim to work in ways which are sensitive to our environment, increase productivity and efficiency, and reduce cost.

Broadband and Video Technology has been deployed to encourage effective remote working and deliver increased workplace effectiveness.  Time and costs saved in reducing travel has been significant and the video conferencing investment is expected to payback within 18 months.

Employees are encouraged to use public transport and shared transport arrangements wherever practical, and whilst recognising the necessary reliance on the private car in rural areas, cycling to work is supported.

Being fit and healthy is good for the individual and good for business.  In East Devon the Estate has invested in gym facilities which are available to all employees.
